Deadly Kin Audiobook Announcement: A New Narrator
Dear readers,
The imperative for me has always been for you to have the best possible listening experience. That means no compromise on quality, and employing outstanding voice talent who remain true to my characters and the 18th Century world I’ve created.
For twelve audiobooks Alex Wyndham was very much part of that listening experience. We had a wonderfully collaborative partnership, and I could not have asked for a better narrator. Midnight Marriage was the first Historical Romance Alex ever recorded, and five years on it is still ranking on Audible’s bestseller lists. Many of my listeners tell me Alex’s performances of the Roxton and Halsey books remain the best narrations available anywhere.
This year Alex informed me that he is on a journey with his narrations, one that better suits his future. Regrettably, this journey means his present style no longer matches what my listeners have come to expect from a Brant/Wyndham audiobook. This was evident upon reviewing his entire completed narration of the fourth Alec Halsey mystery Deadly Kin.
I wish we could have continued to collaborate and produce audiobooks of the caliber Alex became known for with every Lucinda Brant audio release. But I also wish Alex all the best with his future direction and hope it brings him many opportunities and much success.
Finding a replacement for the Alex we loved to listen to was always going to be a challenge. But please don’t despair! With change comes opportunity.
I am reinvigorated, and confident the future is bright. After months of searching, listening, and auditioning, I am honored and thrilled to announce that British actor/director Matthew Lloyd Davies signed on to narrate Deadly Kin.

With his wisdom, talent, and expertise, Matt’s narration provides a wonderful listening experience.
I can’t wait for you to hear his performance of Deadly Kin. It is superb!
